There are multiple opportunities for volunteers to assist with painting, cleaning, rebuilding, yard work, tear downs, job training, skills training, youth camp, and after school programs.

• Come volunteer in the Third Ward. There are opportunities for both skilled and unskilled positions.

• Provide in-kind donations and services to benefit the Third Ward.

• Organize a church group or mission team to spend a day or week volunteering in the inner city.

Sponsors

We are in need of sponsors for urban youth camp.  We invite businesses, corporations, and individuals to sponsor an entire 4-day youth camp for up to 200 children or sponsor blocks of 5, 10, or 25 children.

Construction and Rehabilitation

We are asking corporations for in-kind donations of sheetrock, lumber, paint, plumbing, electrical, building materials and supplies as well as work crews.

Volunteer Teams

We need work teams, mission teams, and prayer teams. A church or group of churches can run a youth camp for up to 200 youth for four days this summer.  Generation One will recruit and sign up the kids while the volunteer group or church can run the camp.

MENTORS

This is where the real work is done! Make a difference by making a year long commitment to spend a minimum of 4 hours per month with a child and spend your time encouraging him or her in their spiritual growth, academics and personal life!

TUTORS

Join the tutoring program by committing to come in for 2 hours, 1 afternoon a week, to help the children with their homework and their reading skills.

BIBLE STUDY TEACHERS

Join the Bible study program by committing to come in for 2 hours, 1 afternoon a week, to help teach/facilitate a Bible study for the kids
